FORMAT OF SHORT REPORT WRITING FOR THE ART PROJECTS

Generally, the Report Writing is set up as above though there has no particular rule that every report should be in similar format, according to which researchers or research organizations may have their own outline for writing the research report.There are many universal styles or formats for setting up the layout of research paper developed by the recognized researchers and research organizations. Such as APA style, MLA style, Turabian style, Chicago style, Harvard style, GB7714 style, GOST style, IEEE style, ISO style etc., which could be use as nature of research sectors as well as guided by the research bodies.
Tentative Titles for the report writing on Art Projects
1. What is short report writing?
Reports can diverge in time taken. Usually, a shorter report that contains 1 to 5 pages will be formatted in a different way than a longer report which contains more than 5 pages long. At one time or another, everyone should have prepared report on any necessary subjects in any line of works.
2. Why is it necessary to write?
Any short reports help to record and clarify the information for future reference, which supply a record of work completed as well as document current status, schedules, timetables and milestones that facilitate to flow current information to large number of people for advising future action.
3. How to proceed report writing?
The writer of reports must consider the given format as following pages and also need to develop their own style and way of presentation on chosen topics on related subject. The process of report writing such as pre-writing, writing and rewriting assist the writer to prepare effective reports. The final short report on project must be prepared in recommended language and words must be typed and printed in A4 size paper within the 1 inch (25 mm) left margins in all sides but the gutter position should be in left side with extra 0.5 inch (10 mm) margin and must be clipped by visible plastic cover. The writer can use any easy reading fonts and the size of the font should not exceed than 11 points, if the language is applicable in English medium. the most common fonts are Times New Roman and Arial as universally accepted in academic institutions all over the world. The align of typed sentences of main chapters of the report should not justify in printing form. However, it is not an obligatory as some recognized style or format have presented with justified align of the typed sentences .The report writer must use their own language in the report. If the writer has copied directly the related sentences from the other published books, it must be cited the page no., name of the book and name of the author in footer of the page. All pages must be inserted page no. excluding preliminary body of the report. The layout of printed report should be eye pleasant with own original design though it should not be changed if the concerned institution strongly recommended their own design format.

It contains the title of the report including the name of the writer/s along with corresponding email address and telephone no. of the principal writer as well as the name of the concerned institution. If the author/s is/are the students of the higher school or the university, they should write their school roll no. or university registered no. or batch no. with course title or course code. It also comprises month and year of submission. Also the cover page should include abstract or summary regarding the main body of the report not more than 150 words. So that the supervisor or authority may know easily about the report in general. The font size of the title should be 17 points and bold where as the text of abstract should be 10 points and rest of other texts should not be over 11 points.
3.1.2. Letter of Approval
The report should be included a letter of approval by the Supervisor or the concerned authority/ies if obligatory applicable in the concerned institution. the letter should be placed just after the cover page.
3.2. Main Body
3.2.1. Introduction
This heading contains brief overview and background of the art project related to the subjects and topics of the works along with statement of problem, objectives, scope, significance and rationale of the project. It can include the following questions:
• How initiated the project activity?
• Which factors motivated the project?
• Why are you working on this project?
• What do you hope to achieve?
• What do you hope to achieve?
3.2.2. Interpretation and Analytical Presentation
This is main heading of the project report writing as an essential body. It contains principal agendas of the art project with discussion on those agendas including writer's interpretation and analytical presentation. For instance,
• Writer may discuss on recently practicing artwork in comparison of previously created artwork/s in the past eras either through a chronological list or a discussion organized by importance.
• If writer is an art student, s/he may present on the working process of the arts (painting or sculpture or design) including tutorial guidance during project work.
• Writer may present the experiences of discovered solutions during project work of arts along with problems encountered.

It comprises the major findings on the concerned project work of arts with summarized results from the study, practice and research as well as its achievement during the project in short. It may also carry the writer's personal recommendations for the further way forward.
